Events
The Young Women’s Resource Center fills its calendar with events. With as many programs as we provide, there’s always something going on that furthers our mission to support girls and young women in the community through engagement, learning, and entertainment. This includes our three signature fundraisers Celebrity Servers Night, PCWA Basket Auction, and the YWRC Gala, and the bi-annual Sex Trivia Night hosted by the YWRC Ambassadors.
YWRC Empower Gala
Join us on Saturday, April 13, 2024 for an evening full of delicious food, inspiring awards, and a powerful program that demonstrates how YOU empower local girls and young women to grow in confidence, self-esteem, and resiliency. Proceeds will support local girls and young women, ages 10 – 24.
Celebrity Servers
Save the date: Monday, October 7, 2024. Celebrity Servers will host guests for a delicious three-course meal at Centro or Django at the Reinhardt Room. Funds raised through this event will support local girls and young women. Special thanks to our Presenting Sponsor Orchestrate Hospitality.
PCWA Basket Auction
Join the Polk County Women Attorneys (PCWA) for the 22nd Annual Seasons of Change Basket Auction event coming this fall. This event is a charity fundraiser to benefit the Young Women’s Resource Center (YWRC). The evening includes delicious appetizers, special program, and silent and live auctions of one-of-a-kind products and services.
Sex Trivia Night
Twice a year, guests 21+ are invited to join the YWRC Ambassadors Board for a fact-packed night of fun and competition. This event will put your reproductive health know-how to the test. Guests will also learn more about the mission, values, and programs offered at the YWRC and how they can help raise awareness of the YWRC’s impact. Trivia teams will compete for prizes and bragging rights.
